We love coming across new skincare companies. Hamlin Apothecary, founded by Terry Freeman is no exception. Their body butter is an all natural whipped body butter handmade in Harlem, New York City. It is a combination of healing butters and oils infused with homeopathic botanicals. It is great for use on the entire body, hair and nails.
The brand has a cool story as they were inspired by Hamlin Drugs, founded in Raleigh, N.C., by the founder’s Great, Great Grandfather, Captain J.E. Hamlin, in 1904. Captain Hamlin served his customers with “a horse and buggy, waxed mustache and a smile.” Terry told us she “strives to offer all of my customers the level of service and quality of products that Hamlin Drugs offered its customers for over 100 years”.
They source all of their ingredients with care as they’ve always believed that “what we put on our bodies is just as important as what we put in our bodies”. Their products are created in micro-batches to ensure the quality and concentration of botanical infusion as well as aromatherapeutic properties.
Their formulation was originally developed during their founder’s pregnancy to prevent stretch marks and promote healing but has since proven to solve a vast variety of other skin care and hair care concerns.
